MRF a revolutionary 2-in-1 treatment which induces collagen thereby
- Improving the skin tone and texture
- Reducing the skin sagging, fine lines and wrinkles
- Reducing the appearance of large pores and unwanted stretch marks
- Treating acne, acne scars and other scars.
Why is collagen important?
Collagen is naturally produced by our body, making the skin look firm and young. As we age, the body produces less collagen resulting in a loss of elasticity and the formation of wrinkles and lines.
How does MRF work?
This technology combines micro-needling which is first used to penetrate the skin and plump up the skin followed by radio frequency which delivers the heat energy deep into the layers of the skin resulting in skin tightening. In this process, thousands of microscopic energy points are created that encourages new collagen to buildup and allow the skin to heal and tighten naturally. For patients with acne, the RF energy also reduce the sebum production and inhibit the bacteria. This promotes elastic and collagen production, minimizing the appearance of acne scars.
How soon will I notice results?
Even after one treatment, your skin will feel smoother and tighter with less visible pores and scars as collagen is stimulated. With repeat sessions, as collagen production also increases, visible results starts to show. Treatments are specific to each individual, with one to four treatments normally being required.
How long does result last?
Results vary, depending on various factors such as quality of your skin before the procedure and the degree of damage. However the affected area will begin to improve even after the first session and will continue to do so for even up to six months.
How is the procedure done?
A numbing cream is applied for an hour before treatment. Then the probe containing the ultra-fine needles are delivered to the area of concern on your skin, and then the radio frequency energy is released as per your concern. There will be a mild redness and swelling of the treated area which may last for a day. We recommend you use mild cleansers and a sunblock of higher spf post procedure.
Who should avoid this procedure?
- Pregnant women
- Patients on anti-coagulant medicines
Those who have a tendency to develop keloids – a kind of scar.
