Skin Lightening Treatment options?
We offer a variety of treatments to lighten your skin
- Bleaching creams, serums, soaps and face washes.
- Lingual sprays and oral medications.
- Retinol & cosmelan professional peels
- Injection therapy
- Laser toning
Glutathione and vitamin C (naturally occurring in our body) are the two vital ingredients of any skin lightening treatment.
Glutathione appears to work by eliminating the body of free radicals or toxins that lead to hyper pigmentation, age spots, sun spots, wrinkles and conditions such as melasma.
In addition, it also inhibits the enzyme responsible for melanin (pigment giving the skin its color) formation. Vitamin C, when used in combination, has been scientifically proven to raise the levels of glutathione in the body.
Why Injections?
Injections obviously have an edge over other modalities of treatments as the medications directly enter blood stream from where they are absorbed resulting in immediate cell regeneration and gradual rejuvenation.
- The results obtained are much faster
- Injections gives space for more combinations (kojic acid, arbutin and stem cells) are used in addition to glutathione and vitamin c each with its own benefit
- The fact that oral medications need to be processed by the stomach resulting in wastage is bypassed here.
Medications, creams and lasers are best suited as maintenance or add on therapy.
FAQ
When will I see the results?
You will begin to see a glow in your skin even after 2 injection sessions and will continue to appreciate more after completion of treatment.
How long will I have to take the treatments?
The injections will be given over a period of 5 weeks followed by maintenance therapy for 8 to 12 weeks. The effects are not permanent since the skin is constantly changing and aging. As the results are for a shorter duration, you will require yearly sessions in the form of injection itself or oral medications, laser resurfacing and glutathione sprays for maintenance.
Are there any side effects to the treatment?
As with any injection, there are chances of developing anaphylaxis (allergic reaction to the products), nausea (sensation of vomiting) and abnormal liver function tests.
What are the options for permanent skin whitening?
You have to understand that no matter which treatment you decide to undergo, it will not produce a permanent result and maintenance sessions will be required.
